THE BUGI FIELD GUIDE
How BUGI works
A 30-question, browser-based quiz about everyday reactions. Here is what the result does—and what it cannot tell you.
Start with an ordinary day
Choose one of four reactions to each of 30 everyday scenarios. Answer for what you tend to do, rather than the version of yourself you wish a friend would see. You can return to the previous question. No account is required.
How a type is selected
Each answer contributes to two type scores: three points to one pattern and one point to another. The quiz also combines these contributions across four internal dimensions: planning, social availability, action, and outward emotional expression. It centers each question’s contribution and uses the direction of the four totals to select one of 16 types. Small fixed offsets resolve exact ties.
What the background pattern means
The background pattern is the highest-scoring type other than the main result. It is a secondary storytelling lens, not a second diagnosis or a scientifically measured compatibility match. The on-screen bars are internal display values, not population percentiles, probabilities, or clinical scores.
Read with curiosity, not certainty
The questions and scoring are written for this entertainment experience. We do not claim clinical validation, diagnostic accuracy, or equivalence to a professional personality assessment. Your mood, context and interpretation can change your answers. A result can be useful as a conversation starter without being an objective definition of you.
Use the report in a practical way
Read a description before accepting its label. Find one example from your life, then look for a counterexample. Choose one small, reversible suggestion from the profile and see whether it helps. Skip anything that does not fit. Do not use the labels to judge someone else or decide employment, health or relationship outcomes.
Answers, sharing and privacy
Your individual quiz answers and result calculation stay in your browser. A shared result URL contains the type code, not the 30 answers. Opening that link shows the general type profile; it does not preserve a personal answer history or exact axis values. Language preferences may be saved locally. Hosting and advertising services have separate data practices described in our privacy notice.
